“Five benefits of attending someone’s janāzah:
1. It is a Sunnah.
2. It is the right of the deceased.
3. A person attending the ṣalāh will receive reward equivalent to Mount Uḥud and the one who stays till the burial will receive reward equivalent to two Mount Uḥuds.
4. It is a means of comfort for the family of the deceased.
5. It causes us to remember our death.”
